I Finally Got Over my Fear of Charcoal :)

Charcoal has always been so..eww to me. It was always either too hard or too soft. It smudges, and I have to be very careful that I don’t place my wrist down when I’m drawing. So I have always been hesitant to use it in my art work. Recently I FINALLY had a little time do doodle. And wanted to tackle my fear. These are my first completed drawings wiith charcoal. A little crude I know, but I’m actually very proud of how they turned out. You can actually tell what everything is haha.

Follow My New Blog!!!

good pics for port 020

I love blogging. But ever since I started this blog I have wondered how I can combine all my interests into one blog, in a way that is still cohesive. Well finally I realized that I can’t. So I made another one! It is my dream to be an artist professionally. I’ve finally decided to do something about it. I’m going to do freelance work while I’m still in school. Why wait right??? One problem that I had with this blog is that I always feel like some of the things I wanted to share are too personal or off topic of the overall theme of my blog. This blog was meant to be a creative outlet for me. That’s why I always post about art or food or anything inspirational that comes to mind. But as I get older I realize that I also like to express myself creatively in other ways. Makeup, nails, hair and fashion are becoming more important to me. I want to express myself in the way I look and dress. That being said, I’m not really sure what my “style” is. But I want to learn. I,m going to focus THIS blog more on my art and I’ll still ¬†show some things that inspire me. So it will still be personal, but in a different way. If you want to follow my new blog, here’s the link:¬†http://loveslight20.blogspot.com/

Lessons Learned

It always happens. Just when you’re about to give up, you have a break through. It never fails. Whenever it seems like things are dark in your life, just hold on a little while longer because God has a blessing waiting for you just around the corner. The important thing is to never give up hope.
